Although I am sure most anyone would recognize Erik (the Phantom of the Opera) in this pic, not many would identify the other chick as Satine from the movie Moulin Rouge.
I suppose I'll explain, one of my best friends is a HUGE fan of the movie Moulin Rouge. Of course, upon blending the idea of our obsessions, it sort of makes sense in my head that Erik and Satine could possibly get along. They both lived in roughly the same time era and were both in France, and they're both the focus of a tragic love story. Plus, they're super fun to draw together. I also kinda suppose that, as Erik is cursed by his deformity, Satine is cursed with beauty (for those who don't know, she's a prostitute, though not entirely by choice, it's just to survive)
Anyway, I really think they're cute together ^-^
Oh, and as one last explanation, this is a play off of the song Satine sings called Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend, which is kind of a theme of Moulin Rouge.
